Research Review New Zealand works with over 70 local medical specialists to select and advise on the most important research from around the world. They advise on what really matters, what impact it has on local healthcare and what we need to do in our daily practice to accomodate new skills and knowledge. Alison Stewart

Alison is the Programme Leader for Sterilising Technology at the Open Polytechnic and was previously the Training & Quality Supervisor and Service Team Leader of the sterile services for Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB), where she worked alongside Infection Control. As an executive member of the New Zealand Sterile Services Association (NZSSA) she is currently both treasurer and the NZ representative on the committee updating the joint Australian/ New Zealand standard on cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing reusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and maintenance of associated environments in health care facilities.

Alison provides expert commentary for NZ Infection Control and Prevention Review along with Dr Richard Everts and Ruth Barratt.
